JoeNation told me about Governor's Island

on one of the first trips. I was quite interested, but there was no regular public access, til Ha! there's an interest in developing the land. so, ferry service for the summer, seminars and concerts and free public events ... we totally totally lucked out

The Empress seemed to be quite taken with the place, as did Brenda Lee.

and while we were in New York

we had a lot of fun with a lot of people

we watched the Statue of Liberty get a bath ... or were we really watching a rehearsal of the blessing of the fleet?







it's a gorgeous city in so many ways

it's been a while hasn't it

we went back to New York. this time with brenda and noddy and walter and mac. met up with jonathon and frank and Roberta!!! Friday morning - the traditional Staten Island Ferry ride. Noddy had some history to deal with ... ghosts to throw overboard - so we rode over and back and over and back again
